1990-2004 Professional Genealogist. Employed three years as reference consultant and international publications coordinator for the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Worked for a short time for Ancestry.com as their European acquisitions specialist. Also ran my own research business specializing in German and Scandinavian genealogical research for several years. Accredited genealogist in German, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian specialties. Published several books and articles, and designed three genealogy websites.
